The Internet Is Dead podcast was created in March 2024 and has since amassed a combined following (across platforms) of 30K+, 415K+ views, and over 4.2M watch minutes. Notable interviews include those with Courney Love, Wallows, Ivy Wolk, Contrachloe, Chase Rutherford, Elsie Fisher (Eighth Grade & The Summer I Turned Pretty), Rayne Fisher-Quann, Ky Newman (Emergency Intercom), Tao Lin, Gabi Abraõ, Current Joys, Patrick Doran (Podcast About List), Eugene Kotlyarenko (Spree), and more. The podcast has been featured in Polyester, silknode, UCLA Radio, and more.

The episodes explore how internet fame has evolved from the passion-driven era of 2011-2017 to today’s saturated, algorithm-driven landscape. Hosts Brittany Deitch and Sameera Rachakonda—best friends raised on stan Twitter—unpack the shifts in online culture through conversations with the artists and creators they grew up following. Together, they examine how the internet has shaped collective consciousness, hoping to lead young people to a more positive understanding and usage for this immense connective power.

They broke news with our episode detailing Maya Henry's abuse from Liam Payne 3 days prior to his unfortunate passing. The NY Post, Vox, Entertainment Tonight, DailyMail, Page Six, and elsewhere (50+ news outlets) featured us as their primary source. At the time, the podcast only had 600 subscribers but were able to promptly identify the growing conversation surrounding Henry's social media posts and book her. In the pitch, they highlighted their expertise and experience with fan culture, the One Direction fandom specifically, which was the reason she agreed to our podcast versus other offers. They were able to conduct this sensitive conversation while ensuring a level of understanding and respect for both Henry and an audience of domestic abuse victims. As it stands, this video is their most watched, with 167k views. You can read an essay Brittany wrote about the online reaction in Byline Byline.
